Mindfulness simply means awareness or paying attention in a certain way. It is a knowing of what we are doing, thinking and feeling while we are doing, thinking and feeling it. It means to be present in our life.
By learning to be fully present we learn to respond to every situation and challenge more skillfully and wisely instead of habitually reacting on automatic pilot.
Practicing Mindfulness becomes a powerful and effective tool in managing stress and anxiety much better and helps in recognizing unhealthy habits that don't realy serve us very well and teaches us how to change them.
Becoming present also allows us to be more receptive to the enjoyable and happy moments in our life creating a more balanced, holistic experience on a day to day basis leading to overall greater happiness and satisfaction.
